partner visa

driver3758

Hi,,,i have a girlfriend in the philippines,,and plan to get her to the uk,on a ."partner visa"..
i understand ,you need to have been in a relationship for at least 2 years,,.
We have known each other at least 5 yrs,,through chats and messaging online,,plus she has visited for 6 mnths,on a visting visa..
Immigration require proof of our relationship,,,we have records of our converstions,,etc..and thought this would have been enough proof,,,but others have said, you need to have lived together for at least 2 years,,, is this true,,?,,,
ps..we had considered marriage,,but she separated,,and divorce isn't really an option,in the philippines...

I think it would be best if you post the thread in UK FORUM for better responses.

PS: "Divorce isn't really an option in Philippines"... ???  That's a very strange statement.

Hi driver 3758
Sorry about the statement.  I just looked it up online and yes indeed,  Philippines is the only country that does not allow divorce.

Nevertheless, I'll ask the team to move your thread to appropriate section so that you can get better responses.
