Partner Visa

Hello I am Emilee. I am from New Orleans but have been living in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. I am in the process of getting my new visa. I now qualify for my partner visa.
When applying you have a choice if you are in the Uk you can start your visa on the UK site. Which I did. I started my application and did all but pay. Once I paided I was required to take the forms and mail them from the US to Sheffield ( also I haven’t done my biometric yet)
I had to come back to the states for family emergency. My question:
Can I pay and continue on the Uk site. The UK site still lets me in to my application form or do I have to start all over at the US site now? The UK visa application asked originally if I was in the Uk while applying.

Hi Em and welcome to the Forum.

The obvious answer is yes, why not, why make it hard. However, it would be frustrating to find out that the obvious is maybe not so obvious to those who make the decisions; so in reality, your question is one of those that can really only be answered by the Home Office themselves (and get the name of the guy who advises you).

Thank you. Oh I’ve tried. I’ve called the home office and paided the £1.54 a minute again and again, to be told Well if you can still get in o the application apply at Uk but “that’s just my advise” The same person said well if it asks if you are in the Uk and not then don’t and “ that’s just my advice” Every time I call the home office they don’t sound qualified to answers the call lol. Sadly.
Also if I do finish my application on the UK site does that mean I have to do my Biometeric in the Uk? Hmmm

Hi again,

My advice would be to carry on with the system you began with; these would be the ones that you ticked any boxes, agreed to any terms with.
