Yet another salary question...

1600 € is twice as the average czech salary, so yeah, you can live quite well with this salary.. It depends in which part of Prague you'd like to live, because the rent for flats in the centre is quite expensive. Nevertheless if you'd find some cheaper flat, then you can have a nice time with those money in the Czech Republic

Thanks for your answers...my work will probably be somewhere in Praha 8 or 9...Are these areas popular to live in? Can you suggest some areas that are not as expensive as the center and they are nice to find a studio in? Thanks again...

I would suggest you to seek for a flat in those areas. Praha 8 and 9 are quite close to the town centre (well..not so close - you wouldn't like to go home by walk) and the rents are there not as high as in the town centre. There is really good connection to public transportation and you can get to the historical centre by tram or subway within 30 minutes. If you'd like to live somewhere closer to the town centre, I'd suggest you to seek for a flat in Praha 7 - Holešovice or Letná. Other place to live could be Praha 3 - Žižkov. Those places are really close to the centre with good connection to public transportation, large green areas and parks, and with cheaper flats than in other areas. You can find there mostly older apartment houses from the beginning of 20th century which look really nice, but may be sometimes in worse conditions than newer flats in the other parts of Prague. Me personally live in Zizkov area and I like it here. I've got it 15 minutes by walk to Vaclavske square, 5 minutes to red and yellow line of subway, 5 minutes to main railway station and 15 minutes to Florenc bus station. The rent I pay for the flat, where are 3 large rooms, a kitchen with a dining room, toilet, a bathroom and a small balcony is cca 12500 Kc/month (electricity,water and internet including). I've got 2 big parks with nice sights just 10 minutes by walk from my flat and lot of pubs to visit. Hope this helps
