Renewing driving licence at 70 years old

Has anyone tried to renew their driving licence at 70 years old? We have the eye test certificate and medical certificate.  Dreading the department of transport because of its chaos.

I renewed mine at the Citizens office in the town. No issues although don't recall if I had appointment. I would turn up and wing it. Worst scenario they make appointment. I do recall it was very efficient.

Citizens office?  That would make life easier. I find the dept of transport difficult.

Have done it twice. Dont know the area you live in. I live in the Famagusta area near Paralimni. First time went to the Doctor and got the letter stamped (painless). To a cerfified Optician by appointment.

Handed both docs plus the application to Citizena Advice and thet did the rest and collected the new licence a month later. Citizens give you a temp licence to drive on.

as i said dont know the area you live in and understand if it is Paphos it is a ANOTHER WORLD
