Post-Covid-19 situation in Puerto Rico

Hello everyone,

The COVID-19 pandemic had a huge impact on the world, including on expats' lives. Travel restrictions, business closures, budget cuts, and health measures have created unprecedented challenges for those who have chosen to live in Puerto Rico.

Now that the pandemic is moderated, expats are adjusting to a new daily routine. So tell us, how is your expat life now:

Are there still any health measures in place in Puerto Rico? If so, what are they (wearing a mask, barrier measures, etc.)?

Have you noticed any changes in the population's habits or behavior after the pandemic?

What is your new work rhythm: do you still work remotely or are you spending more time in the office?

Have you changed your spending habits? If so, which ones?

Despite this pandemic and its consequences, how do you see your future in Puerto Rico?

Do you have any advice for other expats and future expats on this new daily life in Puerto Rico?

@Mickael well Mickael all I can say is that since I moved to Puerto Rico I found that people here took this pandemic problem very seriously. Not only did vaccines and masking up was of high priority among the population here but people were showed much concern in following safe guidlines at service centers everywhere. While folks in the US mainland seem to be bothered by others trying to do the right thing and protesters with mis-information could not help but being rude and insulting to others just because they chose to follow safe guidlines and wear a mask while in public. I actually felt and feel safer in Puerto Rico. And now I'm going to have my breakfast with my café.
