Planning to move to Honduras this April, and looking for fellow expats to ask and learn how to go about the daily life in Tegucigalpa.
I am from the Philippines, and I was wondering if there is also a Filipino community in Honduras as well.
Hope to connect with fellow expats soon!

You have not been here long enough if you think the roads are terrible.
In some areas a pothole is an asset because that means you have a road.
Actually Honduras ability to maintain and improve, at least the highways, is improving rapidly.

Hello Everyone,
My family and I are expats and have made Honduras our permanent home. Occasionally travel to and from the US. We are on the Mainland near La Ceiba and have built a business with home goods. We noticed that good quality items are really hard to come by so our store sells everything from appliances to curtains to blankets and baby products and yes Vehicles too. I would like to hear some feedback from you all and if you need anything please feel free to reach out. Welcome to the Community!

@Remaxmainlandproperties hi there interested in meeting you and learning more about how I can import vehicles to La Ceiba. I purchased a property recently and am fixing it up to my taste. I'm from Texas and I'm maintaining my home in Houston, probably will continue to do that. I'm interested in exporting vehicles I have a lot of experience in buying and selling cars and I'm good at fixing anything with a vehicle. What is the most cost-effective way of bringing vehicles from Houston Texas to La Ceiba Honduras.
@DineshBatra53 When you find out more please let me know. I shipped a car in August, the whole process, I spent about 4500. I plan to drive a vehicle down around the first a January. I have the same idea that you have.
@Remaxmainlandproperties I just move to the Corozal area, What's the name or your place? What is it near?
@larryjamesa What area are you driving from maybe we can do a caravan.. I'm in Houston Texas
@DineshBatra53 I'm driving from Kentucky around the second week of January.
