Yes, it's very important to learn haitian creole. Everybody don't speak french in Haiti.

How exactly would I learn Haitian Creole? I am currently living in the US but want to move to Haiti, and it is much easier to learn French due to all the opportunities. I have never seen a book for sale about Haitian Creole, and there is no Rosetta Stone either.
Could someone speaking French understand Haitian Creole well enough to get by in Haiti?

Yes, someone speaking haitian creole can understand french a few. But, french is much harder to learn that haitian creole.
