does anyone knows where is the reliable cell phone shop in DR?

I broke my cell phone this morning.
And I tried to get it repaired, but the repair cost was similar to the price of a cell phone.
So I bought a new cell phone in plaza central, but I can not use it as an unknown cause in 2 hours.
even i didn't put it out of my bag.
I could not speak Spanish so I had to leave the store as it was.
I wanna know. A reliable cell phone shop.

iN sOSUA ON pEDRO cLISANTE, 50 YARDS EAST OF bANCO sANTA cRUZ, ON THE SAME SIDE OF THE STREET IS A CELL Phone store. Run by an expat who has been in the business for a couple of decades. His name is Thomas & is my downstairs neighbor. He has a good reputation. I buy from him. If you need contact info, let me know. This is a very large country, wherever you are I'm sure you will receive some places to try.

Based upon another earlier post, I am assuming you are referring to Plaza Central in Santo Domingo, which is a place where many would go or recommend to find a replacement cell phone or indeed a repair. But there are some cowboys there and I few got raided a year or so back and cell phones confiscated.

There are many in this plaza both large and small and I am sure if you try, you will find one that speaks English.

A quick 'google' comes up with a company in Plaza Central posting a Facebook page in English with good recommendations, so maybe give them a shot.

Santo Domingo there are many many shops. Where we have gone is on Calle Duarte, near Chinatown. I can get you a name if you want to go there! Its completely across town for you.
