North shore, Sosua / Cabarete area has many ex-pats. I have seen ex-pats almost everywhere on the island. I am not familiar with how many long term residents there are in other town & cities/ For tourists there are many places. Which are you looking for? What are your criteria? You will receive many replys if more specific with your questions.
