First I will ask why?   The cost to bring it in is more then it is worth!

Bob K

Questions 1-99....WHY would you want to import a old 32 inch TV.  The weight alone will kill you in shipping costs.

You can import a brand new one (32in flat, smart TV) for less than $215 all in.

i didn't see a tv for $215 anywhere...but for $35 i can bring it as extra baggage...and it's not worth $200...but, you're saying they will charge duty tax for it anyway?

Bob K

They might.  What is the weight?

You can get on line with some of the bigger stores (Best buy, Staples, Amazon etc) and find a good 32 incher for about $179 add about $35 or so for shipping to the DR using something like CPS and you have your TV here for $215.  We shipped 2 Samsung 32 inch sets this way.

OKAY...thanks bob!  You don't think I could bring in the old one?

If you bring it in as baggage no one is going to care. IF you ship it - the shipping will cost you more then the  TV is worth.

Bob K

Planner is correct.

I think we'll attempt bringing it as checked luggage...it's pretty old...but, still a working tv...It will cost $50 to bring it...hopefully, it won't be taxed...
