Current weather conditions around our Island.

You are correct about the forecasting.

I just got back from the airport (POP) which  is probably 10 miles and 15 min away and there was a very nice 5 min shower.  Here on the hill.....NADA!

Bob K
Nada here but feels like it might happen.
Well here on the hill finally some rain or rather a small bit of rain.  We had a light shower for about 2 min and that was it.  Lots of wind, thunder, lightening...all the ingredients except for WATER.  Some places locally did get a nice shower or two.

Bob K
Back to hot and sunny
Same here in Cabrera.
I just want to know if North Coast has gotten any significant rain?
Yes,  Bob do tell.
And how are conditions today?  We had clouds and some showers today.
No significant rain here in Cabrera.
No rain in Bayahibe.
I just got a message from my friend living in Sosua and she said: overcast on the north coast, but no rain and no wind. Still very warm!
North coast is still parched with very little rain since last weeks one thunderstorm.

Here in Hackensack NJ...visiting and taking care of my mom for a couple of weeks it is soggy with lots of rain. Wish I could pack it up and bring it back with me. Good news is Hurricane JOAQUIN is going to miss us here entirely.

Bob K
And that is good news but you still have lots of rain on the way.   Hope your mom is ok honey.
A bit of a rough patch, but hopefully we can work it out.  I will be here for another week at least ....ugh!

Bob K
You are both in our thoughts honey. And  count your blessings it is October and not February!
Hope your Mom gets better Bob.
Still no rain here.
We too have been parched in central NC.  Has rained for a week, with soaking rains today.  So grateful.
Let in rain, rain, rain

Hate it for you Bob.
Today, all we have is winds, no rain!
THanks for the thoughts guys,

I have been here in January  and the Hudson river was frozen over from a bit south of the GW bridge on north.  Not fun navigating the snowy, icy streets in my crocs.

Looks like the hurricane is going to miss us by a fair distance so no big deal here in the NYC area either.

All we had in Cabrera was wind from the SE, not from the hurricane
as forcasted. No rain for a week again.
Careful on that ice Bob, you forget how to drive on it!
Yep  freezing my ass off.  Currently with light rain it is 44F.

Bob K
Poured rain here this afternoon, still overcast and looking like more rain on the way.
North coast still nada

Bob K
Choppy sea in Bayahibe, so all boat excursions were cancelled for Friday and Saturday but no rain, just windy.
It amazes me how Bayahibe is  20 minutes away and the weather is so different at times. It was the same when I lived in Puerto Plata.  Where I lived would be raining and my friend 10  minutes away would get nothing.

Today we are overcast,  very very hot and humid,  but no rain. A light breeze providing no relief at all.
Pretty much the same in Cabrera Planner!
