It's a wonderful LIFE !!! Santiago de los Caballeros

planner

Very well said honey!

groby57

As some bid me a farewell, I was content with my journey and where it has taken me. To be short in words yet reflect the truth,,,,it has been a journey for sure. I understand there has been life changes and new ventures for some of my friends here in the DR. We will revive the adventure of the "Wonderful Life", and begin with a new chapter "A Closer Look". Some of you may recieve my PM soon regarding my book in editing at this time. Don't worry I am not soliciting finacial assistance. There are some details of my scribblings that might need some tweaking a bit. In that there have been some very useful contibutions here in the DR forum, my experiances have defined and brought me to the position of offering just a different yet familiar  presentation to this island and its inhabitants.

As I lay here tonight in my bed in the States,  I am now with my Dominican wife. Some of my friends here wonder if I fell off the world. well.....Sort of...yes. In short I literally flew down from PFX via JFK as Irma was was tearing its path over the Bahamas pick her and her two daughters up and flew back just out off reach of Jose. Theses two hurricanes sort off had me chewing my finger nails. The stories and stuff I want to share are most likely not defined for forum activity...however I may take the blog opportunity to share my still ongoing.....ever adventurous...not always easy....Wonderful Life....or to he more correct...A Closer Look. Hi Bob, Darlene, Thomas, and Tinkerer. Miss you guys.-

Bob K

Good to hear from you.  Please do update us on what is going on.

Ah, the good soul returns to lighten my burden,  The paucity of repartee is stifling.  Too few opportunities to unleash my sarcastic, perverted sense of life's ridiculous pagentry.   OH, woe is me to be so bereft of stimulation.. So keep on trucking my friend, keep on.  Your unique vision & ability to teach us new ways to view life is a welcome gift to many.  Thank you. Gypsy401, The Tuba & the Tinker all are the same in saying again, thanks.

Hey Groby 57!
Well, the 2 ladies that were bearing down on us were
gentle for a lot of us & deadly for a few.
I suppose your wife & your step kids are
going to get a taste of winter.
Good luck with that one my friend!
Stories to come, I hope!
Tom.

Jeff, please PM me & or call. Have Whatsapp. Watch out for the plate movements. xmas '19 too ar away. Happy that your family has settled in to their new life. I've put your name up to a documentary production company. I'll explain in private.  Almost totally blind now. Searching for stem cell facilities. Will start a "Go Fund me"  thing once one is located that will  take me. Many countries have them. My CSS limits my searching.   I have "A closer look" for you. My book is No Bones About It. I've heard nothing from Max. Thank you for posting again. I still hold to everything that I wrote in my post above. groby57

Ok...ok...ok   so you all had to kick me out of my slumber.....to tell the truth...I am ready. To start...I need to apologize to you in the DR that I did not call or look any of you up...upon arriving we had a ton of stuff to get done...took all month and then some....so again.. maybe next time....Sooooo...to be honest I have been waiting for the wave of inspiration that motivates one to write,,,,,still waiting... yet there is a burdensome gnawing thing that reminds me that there is soooo much to share.. and in fact confirm what most of you expats already know or have experienced about life in the awesome Republica Dominica.

The subject that I will use in the future is "A Closer Look"...Its a Wonderful Life of course is a trademark and i don't want to infringe in any copyright legalities....oh ok already have..lol

There will be a posting sometime this week as i am sketching out a get reacquainted summery of the last few years. "A Closer Look".
