I do not own a Kia, but note that Hyundai and Kia share several front-drive platforms.

It was always useful to find a competent independent mechanic to work on Toyotas and other makes. Finding a good and resourceful mechanic is the key in my opinion, e.g. knows where to find parts, where the wrecks are, and keeps an eye on similar car models on the roads.
