Good storage options at the airport or in Santo Domingo

It looks like the best option for me will be, as people in various threads have suggested, bringing my stuff via airline checked baggage rather than trying to ship such a small amount.

So I will be arriving with three suitcases, of which I will not need two for the first few weeks. I hope to travel around during that time, which would be easier to do if I didn't have to shlep all three suitcases with me. Are there any good storage options at the airport or in Santo Domingo?

Not only am I new to the DR but it has been decades since I last checked any baggage so I really am starting from scratch figuring this out. All clues welcome!

I doubt there is storage available at the airport, particularly for that long. If you google "self storage santo domingo", there are a number of places.
