Happy holidays to you as well!!! Making that "n" is tough on English keyboards!

Special plans - staying home. No driving. No visiting. No going out. A friend is visiting and we plan to be lazy lazy lazy.

Christmas day will be champagne and orange juice followed by coffee and baileys!  Turkey dinner with all the trimmings.  The holiday season can be exhausting.  I will chill.

Happy Holidays to all. I wish I were back there in the DR for these holdiays but this will the last I'm away. I sit here in Canada with balmy temps of -38 (with wind chill -46) working  mainly outdoors, and preparing for imminent surgery. I look forward to a much warmer and happier New Year and wish you all a very Mery Christmas and all the best in the New Year....cheers!

That I can help with.  If you are on a Windows computer with a separate number keypad, press and hold Alt and type 0209 for Ñ and press and hold Alt and type 0241 for ñ on the number-only portion to the right.  There is a way to do it without the numerical keypad, but it involves copying and pasting.

I want to wish all of you a holiday season blessed with the love and warmth of family and friends, wherever, and however, you may be spending it. Even here in South Florida we're expecting a "chilly" Christmas this year. Forecast is low of 45 F and high of 58 F as of this morning. Brrrrr. :-)

Because most of our family and friends have their fill of pernil/lechon on Noche Buena, I always make a huge paella mixta on the grill for us on the 25th. Appetizers, salad, fresh bread, tostones, desserts, sangria and coquito. And this year we'll have a full breakfast the following morning when it's just the family, to open presents with my dad (he has advanced dementia so it's difficult for him to be in a crowd) - blueberry French toast bake, sausage/bacon, fruit, juices, coffee, etc.

It's really no wonder that every year my diet needs a total refresh by the time the holidays are over. I admit that I have zero discipline/will power when it comes to indulging during the holidays despite telling myself I will! Every year. :-) :-)

Be safe and enjoy......

Well I have been enjoying some Coquito since right after Thanksgiving!

That's a family tradition to make Coquito for the holidays ( Spanish Egg Nog)
