House-Sitting in Costa Rica - Finding Opportunities...

Any suggestions on how to find house-sitting opportunities in Costa Rica? I realize that there are a lot of Americans with second homes in Costa Rica that only live there part-time. I thought it would be mutually beneficial to find a house-sitting opportunity.

My husband and I have lots of past hotel experience (maintenance, housekeeping, and front desk) that make us ideal candidates for house-sitting.

Let me know if you have any ideas on how to do this... thank you!

Try Craig's list. I had an ad on there looking for a caretaking position and got several responses.

You should post your ad in the Costa Rica classifieds

Open your own web site which clearly indicates no fees for house owners or those applying for positions.  You will have a few home owners post openings, and just take the one you want.  It might cost you $100. to set things up, but you are guaranteed an assignment.
