Get Pfizer vaccine for tourists

tovstipartizany

Hi, we are straying in San Jose for a few months and looking for possibility to get booster COVID vaccine here.

In the hospital like CIMA they don't gave us any useful information.

We found the official www.ccss.sa.cr  website, where it is hard to find any specific information either.

Is it even possible?

Any information even just a phone number would be very useful, thank you.

Answering myself, there are no vaccines in the country as of Jan 15 and god knows when next shipment will be. Hopefully it will arrive soon. It will be distributed through social security hospitals, so I highly doubt tourists will be eligible. But who knows.

In the past, tourists have been eligible to be vaccinated against Covid. The problem is that it appears (at least) that the national health care system has not undertaken to begin any vaccination program. There's no telling if such a program is in the future or not.

Also in the past, the only source of Covid vaccination in Costa Rica has been the national health care system. The private sources for other vaccines have not had access to the Covid vaccines.
