Moving to Belize in september

We are staying. We found a beach cabana in placencia. We are so super excited. I've been watching utube videos on placencia. We did lots of research on Belize before we settled on placencia, but it seemed like the place we want to be.  We are driving down from oregon.  Can't wait. This is like a dream for us.

The wife and I should be back down to our place for the winter, hope to meet up with you folks then. 

I really miss our little 2nd home and friends in Placencia...we managed four trips last year. Came back to our condo in Texas at the end of April, but so many details and family things have delayed our return.

That sounds wonderful! Wer still looking for a place but would be great to hear how you get on. Let's keep in touch & would definitely love to meet up once wer there too as we will be looking to stay in different areas of the country to determine where is best for us long term.

Couldn't be honest with me and tell me you found a place on the beach in Placentia so much for being a woman of your word thought you weren't going because it was to expensive of a trip you could of told me the truth it  wouldn't of mattered to me. Why you felt you had to lie is beyond me good luck to you

My sincere apologies. We just felt being 21 miles from the beach was too far for us, as well as working for you under questionable terms. My mistake. Im sorry.

I accept your apology. It was explained clearly that the property was in the mountains 21 miles from the coast and there were no questionable terms it was pretty straight forward cheap cheap rent and in exchange some general lawncare, something that would appeal to a younger more energetic traveler looking for inexpensive comfortable and safe medium to long term lodging centerally located in the country with direct highway access to the north, west, south and the coast. Who the ad is geared to  in the first place.

Last I checked it is not legal in Belize to hire expats to do any kind of work. From what my research has told me jobs must go to belizians first. After you have been there six months then you can apply for a work visa. Even in situations where you are exchanging work for rent.
No grudges. Best of luck. We just couldn't commit to something like this.
