above ground pool

I put an above ground pool up at my house on Caye Caulker.  I was getting quotes of $45,000usd+ for a concrete pool (10ftx20ft) from the local island builders and that didn't include any deck around it. That was out of my budget, so I bought a 15'x 52" Saltwater 5000 round pool from The Pool Factory online.  I bought the saltwater corrosion resistant model because Caye Caulker is a highly corrosive environment.  I bought it back in Sept. 2022. I had The Pool Factory drop ship it directly to Hyde Shipping in Ft. Lauderdale,Florida. The Pool Factory had the pool package placed on a pallet and plastic wrapped the entire thing.  It worked out fantastic. They delivered to Hyde Shipping and placed in their container, and it was shipped to Belize City, where I had hired a customs clearing agent to get it through customs and paid the duty tax (38%) directly to the agent, and then the pallet was placed on the barge that shipped it out to the island where we had it delivered to my house.  The cost of the pool from Pool Factory with all the equipment, including liner, chlorinator (I didn't go with the saltwater generator), pump, filter, steps, cleaning kit, Filtra balls for the filter, etc. was $4061.00USD.  The cost to ship it on Hyde Shipping was not expensive.  My husband and my daughter's BF installed the pool on my property.  The Saltwater 5000 model is designed to be placed partially underground, so we placed it about slightly in ground. They built the deck around it also.  It saved me thousands of dollars. We rent out my house as an Airbnb property and everyone loves the pool and deck!  I wish I could send a picture of it but can't figure that out. lol  We had the pool up and running by Dec. 2022.  I had to replace the chlorinator once in the 2 years its been operating, but I just brought one down with me in my luggage and it cost $82.00usd.  The liner has faded in the Belizean sun but other than that, it's been a great purchase!  I hope that information helps!
