Does anyone know if there is currently any regular ferry service between Punta Gorda and Livingston Guatemala??

Good Morning, you should be able to Google it. I know the ferries go to Puerto Barrios.

Thanks, I had heard they suspended service....something about operator permits but it appeatrs that info is not correct.

My problem: I need to enter Belize from the south as I am bringing my household goods in a van from Panama. Don't know which way to enter. Also need to find a bilingual to accompany me to facilitate border crossings. I speak 'pigeon' Spanish.

You could enter Belize at the Western Border.

Yes, I could do that, and on through San Ignacio, to Belmopan, and on down and around to Corozal. I was just checking my options.
