Do the ATM's in San Pedro take US debit cards? If they don't how do you manage your money issues if you are there for long periods of time?

They do and give you Belize dollars back. The main Atm's are at Scotia Bank across from Tropic Air, Atlantic and Belize Bank both on front street. There are a few others scattered around in shops. Each bank has different transaction fees.

I use my PayPal card at ATMs in the States. Do the Belizian Banks honor Paypal at the ATMs for fast cash? Thank you.

If it has the cirrus plus sign logos it should work ok.

Open a Schawb International checking account with atm card. No monthly fees, no min balance, no atm fees, no currancy exchange rate fee and end of the month they reimburse all third party bank atm fees.

Fee is around $3.00 bz or $1.50 usd range, each bank varies in what they charge.
