I'm have three years of familiarity with the area and have met plenty of king locals and expats. If interested, I can provide you with some perspective coming from an American expat.

Perhaps reconsider supporting mission work in the USA, or whichever country you reside.  The West is  a place where many people are behaving uncivilized,  with the  kidnapping and murder of children and black people, a drug crisis, and racism at its finest.. Crime far in access of Belize. They need the word of God and o practice benevolence, that's a great place to start.

Belize is overrun by churches of all denominations, Christian fatigue that makes no difference to how people live and behave including the priests, pastors etc.  I'd like to ask why you feel Belize need more missionaries? Where do you see the gap in faith?

I'm a Belizian and watch from the inside. As for many of the ex pats in Bullett tree near where I live,  just come for cheap land, cheap living and finding a young wife if the old guys are single. Poverty and corruption is an insidous thing and keeps the country backward. Hate to burst your bubble but thats the reality.
