Gluten free food

marshbunny

Good morning. My daughter and grand daughter have celiac and is very sensitive. I really want them to visit with me in Placencia but am worried about them getting sick. Do the restaurants really take care when someone orders gluten free meals?

@marshbunny

I have a wheat sensitivity, so also need GF foods. My last visit to Sarteneja, a local told me that wheat is grown with different fertilizers, etc. She said people don't get sick when in Belize, eating foods. So

I tried it all week, eating things that normally cause problems for me. I was fine. Which is great, because I found nothing but salads & seafood (which I don't eat) anywhere in Belize I'd traveled. There's a Sam's club in Chetumal Mexico, but that's not near placencia. But that was last winter, so hopefully you'll have more success.
