I think they meant a "jam session", like you sit down and play some music for fun with a gang.

Except, he asked about a professional studio with a drum kit, so he's presumably willing to pay professional rates for those things.

Your point is taken, but he's never going to attract the best musicians in the area unless he shows them the same respect he's willing to give to the studio owner.
