@THIGV Have eaten dog meat ?

Actually only on one occasion while in Vietnam.   My initial introduction to dog meat was when I lived in a pineapple plantation town in Hawaii.   Dog was not a meat for the family meal but eaten by a group of males to be washed down with beer.   It was a bit of a male bonding event as it involved killing, singeing. and cutting up the carcass together.   In addition, Filipinos save the blood with vinegar to mix with the barbequed meat.

My sole experience in Vietnam was similar; snacks with beer but without the killing as we got the meat from a roadside store.   On my way back from my middle school, it seemed like I used to stop almost every day right next to just such a place where singed and dehaired dogs grinned at you from an open air counter when you were waiting for the green light.  It might have been a disturbing experience for someone with a cultural sensitivity to such a thing.  It seems that my brothers-in-law don't favor dog meat, as I am sure it would have been offered to me if they did.

When we were in the north we saw a place serving it. Where do you live.  I'm here because I married a Vietnamese lady.
