Australian Wedding celebrant needed in Vietnam

I have never heard of any circumstance in which the national origin of the officiant made a wedding official in the officiant's and participants' country.  Is Australia some kind of exception to this general rule?  I believe that if you get married in Vietnam, you will need to marry according to Vietnamese law.  It's up to Australia if they wish to recognize the marriage, which I expect Australia should.

Looking at his profile it sounds like his gf is a local, maybe he is doing it this way to save time and energy.

With the Convit restrictions in all countries and a Permanent Visit decision pending I’ve decided to try and arrange an Australian marriage in Vietnam, if possible.

You may have more luck doing it through the VN system, it's not that difficult.

Thanks for the suggestion I did may look at that option.
