Introducing myself and seeking information :)

Tuphrhru

I am an IT specialist and Cyber security expert and consultant from Israel.
Having most of my customers (and the list keeps growing, thanks God) in Europe and Thailand, I travel quite a lot (well, at least I did before COVID...). Nowadays 99% of my work is remote so I am almost completely location independent.

I seriously consider moving to SEA in the very near future.
Thailand is a good option, and I guess Vietnam will do good as well.

I will look for a lot of information about Vietnam: locations, prices and cost of living, interaction with the ladies, food, and many more issues.

Hi, Welcome to the forum.

With Covid stopping 99.9999999% of people coming into Vietnam the best advise I could give is have a look at a few youtube holiday vids, there are a number from well known vloggers on travel, food, prices, accommodation etc

I spent a fair few months watching many and made myself a list of what food I wanted to try and places I would like to visit within the city I was planning to travel to.

I actually spend a few weeks on the app Badoo talking to many local girls to get a sense of the differences with Viet girls (if any). I arranged to meet for drinks with a couple when I came here to see the city and have someone to go around with and out for meals etc I made it clear upfront thats all I was after, Just company and look around, I came first for 10 days and had a great time.

I would say try to visit first before you made any long term plans.

I would probably say costs are similar between Thailand and Vietnam when you average it out. Also depends on what city you are planning to live in, that would drive the costs up or down but you are doing well for yourself when you live in a low cost country but still making the western money!
