Tien Tra

Google Earth lists a hamlet called Tien Tra in Bac Ninh Province, northern Vietnam, 20km NE of Hanoi.

I'll need to get Mr Peabody to take me in his way-back machine to go look for Indochina.

Thanks for that, I'm doing some research on a relative who was killed in Indochina in 1951, a Captain in the French Army, it all fit's in as he was stationed near Bac Ninh, will see if I can find it on a map.

Given that place names constantly get changed in Vietnam, the currently named hamlet of Tien Tra may or may not be the same one with that name sixty years ago.

Thanks for that, it was where my uncle on my mothers side was killed while serving as a Captain in the French Army in 1951. Which fit's as he was serving in the Bac Ninh area

Yea I have noticed that, but as its near Bac    Ninh where he was operating from, its the closest I think I will get, at least it adds up, compared to some results I have been getting, as his unit had to patrol Bac Ninh area it's more likely to be it
