Water drilling?

Buzzer

Just got a letter from the water company. I'm going to get it translated in work tomorrow but wondering if anyone here has gotten anything similar before?

I ran it through google translate to try and get a basic idea and it seems like they're saying they want us to pay for water drilling and asphalt???

Again I'll get it figured out for sure tomorrow night in work but kinda curious if anyone has gotten this before?

Cheers guys!

First of it sounds like a building owners responsibility rather than a tenant's - so that would be my first point.

I guess your profile is out of date and that you are somewhere in VN. The location makes a difference since different cities, different rules.

Occasionally, if a water leak or a pipe replacement is done and it is considered part of "your" properties responsibility for upkeep / maintenance you will get a bill for "works" performed.

When early adopters on a street build the first units they are usually / often stiffed with infrastructure fees such as for electricity, sewers and water. I recently completed a place in Cam Ranh Bay but I hung back from completion until a company / resort down the road connected it's utilities since it had to pay (our connections were free).

These arrangements occasionally result in stray bills from the utilities.

Bottom line: never pay quickly (VNese don't), find out whose responsibility it is (landlord / tenant) and get a better understanding of what it is about.

Remember, landlords everywhere work angles, the VNese landlord has more angles than most so make sure you don't end up paying his bill UNLESS you are cut off 0- then pay and claim agaonst rent - in the courts if need be.

Cheers Jaitch. Yeah I'll have a better idea tonight but sounds like solid advice.

Yes, in D3 right now.

Only in the house a few weeks but from what I've been told the landlord is generally very good about this kind of thing (having things painted/fixed etc etc) so if I do need them to pay it I don't think it should be too much of a hassle.

Anyway cheers for the advice, appreciate it.
