Hi guys,

No worry. It seems like my sister and her friend are really serious about this. They have summoned technologically-challenged me to meet with them, back in the US, shortly. They are planning to brief me and even show me full details of what they have in store. By the time I get back here, which should be after New Year, I should have more definitive answers. I might even have some panels and storage systems to toy around with. You guys will be more than welcomed to come and explore these gadgets with me.

Similar to Saigonizer, I am more interested in leaving this earth as close to when I found it as possible...

Three year life cycles aren't too wonderful when you consider 7-10-year s common for this sort of application.

Central Office batteries last even longer, but they are single cell units - which are best for this sort of application.

I use LED in the common areas and for security lighting. You can buy LED light PBs in Q10, the populate them with your choice of colour and brightness LEDs. They have a life expectancy of 20-26 years.
