Question about Visa Expemption Certificate expiration date

WillyBaldy

Hello folks,

So my VEC expires in May, but I'll be going back to Canada early April.

I'll be going to Singapore in two weeks for a few days. Once I get back, will the agent adjust my maximum stay to the VEC's expiration date? Normally each stay is six months, but I assume they won`t give me six months in this case.

Might they ask for return ticket proof? It's not a problem, I'm just wondering what the protocol is in such case.

Thanks!

Hello,

About to expect a new 6 months by the Immigration Agent, impossible.

About ticket proof, Vietnam doesn't ask for any proof of leaving the country. I heard a very few cases of people were asked in the airline counter before boarding the plane to Vietnam, but easily resolved by a "please check again, USA ask for it, Vietnam doesn't, and maybe I will exit by bus" 😉
