Hello, everyone.

Long time since I've been on here. I'm so glad to see the forums are still very active.

Apologies if this has been covered, but I recently read that the Vietnam Tourism Advisory Board is recommending a 10 year "Golden Visa" for tourists.

Has anyone heard the same or is this just a pipe dream?

Hi Roger. Nice to hear from you again.

Take a look at this recent thread regarding the new visa proposal.

The best non-governmental website with information on the subject would be this one.

There is also a (now amended/corrected) article in the expat.com magazine, here.

Will you be returning soon? If so, will it be south again, or up north?

Yes, I'll be coming back. I had to return to Canada early for some family issues. but will return to HCMC in Oct. The plan right now is to continue wintering in Vietnam and spending summers in Canada. So, I'll be back in VN from Oct to Apr every year.
