Renewing s pass

Hi my s pass is going to expire in May, but I've renewed my passport. I gave my HR a scan of the new passport. Actually I want to look for a new job in Singapore but its not 100% certain yet that I will be able to. Im afraid it would be awkward if my company renewed it and then after a week I told them I'm resigning. Should I die die try find new job before they renew it?

Renewal of S-Pass and search for a new job are separate topics.
However, if a new employer applies for a new S-Pass for you, your old employer cannot renew the old one any more. And while the renewal is pending, no new S-Pass can be applied for.
