Rohh12sept

Hi,

Currently I am on long term EXPAT contract (EP)on india based multinational company and recently got offer in Singapore. New company is planning to provide local contract & benefits. Can anyone guide me what kind of precautions I should take care while taking decision? Mainly around compensation and any policy etc. I understand that i will not get school fees benefits

Also any guidance on salary ? I have 10 yrs of experience in Quality ( Six Sigma black belt).. Experience in people management and managing team. Offered for manager role

Thanks

Since there is no standard for "expat" or "local" contracts, all is up to the company's policies and your negotiation skills.
In general, contracts that are considered "local" include less allowances than "expat" ones. If that is compensated by a higher base salary, you even have the additional advantage to spend the money for whatever you like.
If you need guidance on your market value, look for salary surveys - which are regularly published by some consultancies. (I listed them in a related post on this forum a few years ago.)
