Need Legal advice - Reg

SpsVignesh

Hi expats,

I have been offered a job in Singapore above 6k SGD in  Feb 2019.My employer submitted the ep application and within few days my FIN number was generated and after few days  status  is "pending" .
After 3 weeks , i got a mail from MOM stating the below

"As we need to carry out more checks, it will take at least 3 months to review your application. Each case will be assessed holistically, taking into account applicant-related criteria, input from other agencies, and whether fair consideration has been given to workers in Singapore. We will convey the outcome or any additional information to your prospective employer directly."

one month back they said the actual agreed client is not ready to wait but we do have one more requirement so we will wait for the EP status to change. The MOM deadline of 3 months going to end within one week. Before that , employer without notifying me they withdrawn the EP.I dropped a mail asking for the reason. They simply say its been 2+ months anyway its not going to get approved hence we are in a situation to withdraw your EP and also offer letter.

This is ridiculous , i have been waiting for 2+ months without any salary but they easily gave this statement and wishing for good luck in future endeavors.

Anyone have come across these kind of situations ? if so what would be your advice. Is there any option to raise a complaint against this consultancy ? Will that works ?

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do.
At least, this way, you found out in a relatively mild way that this is a shitty employer who gives a damn about the benefits of his employees (and employees-to-be).
Good luck in finding another job!

Thanks for your response. From where I can get the reason given by the employer for withdrawn ?

Ask them!
(They don't need to tell the reason to anyone, incl. MoM or you, but they might if you ask nicely.)
