Passport stamp can affect entry in SG for work?

Hi,
Pls. Help to find out if you know someone who has an overstaying case from Korea who surrendered in Korean immigration and depart from Incheon airport. Who happens to apply work in Singapore and got a job offer.

Were they allowed or refuse entry from changi airport immigration due to their passport had a stamp "68-1" from Korean Immigration meaning overstayed in Korea but surrender and go back to their home country.

As we have 2 candidates who were offered by our company a job but afraid that they will not be allowed to enter Singapore because of their offense in South Korea of overstaying though they surrendered and never got fined. So even if we already offered them the job, with IPA to present in the immigration officer and our company's offer letter still they are skeptic that they may encounter an "airport to airport" thing.

As per MOM itvis not an issue with them as they will still approve the application based on their qualification and education it is all up to ICA whether they will be allowed to enter. When we called ICA they never give any detailed information to the case but mentioned that each hasxto be given its own merit once already in the airport.

If they mentioned the case truthfully in their work pass application - and were not criminally convicted in Korea, there is little chance that this will cause any trouble.
But, as ICA already told you: There is no guarantee! An immigration officer at the port of entry is free to deny them entry for any reason (including this one). That's the risk you take every time you cross an international border!

Thanks for your reply. Yes really a risk to take for the prospective employee. We actually asked those who have been to S. Korea with the same case and still able to come out from their home country to work overseas. Yeah agree that it all depends on the immigration officer whether you be allowed to enter.
But the applicant has not committed any crime only that he overstayed as they are still employed and that employers were still hiring them though the work visa is already expired. Since needed a job to survive grab the opportunity until they csn find job from other countries.

It is only the stamp "68-1" he is worried about.
