Current job market for IT professionals

cloud_enthusiast

Hi all,

I'm currently working as a Cloud Architect at AWS in Europe and trying to get a job in Singapore in order to grow my career.

Unfortunately I did not have any luck while applying for jobs as Cloud Architect/Engineer so far. Not even a interview or an initial call.

Is it even possible for Europeans in IT to get a job in Singapore these days? It seems the job boards are full with offering and some of them get reposted almost every month.

A little bit of background about myself, I've 5+ years of experience split between AWS and a large financial company, a bachelors degree in computer science and a bunch of certificates.

Would be great to hear some insights and advices. Maybe there are even people in the forum tried the same

What you need to find a job in Singapore is: Niche skills and experiences that are needed in Singapore, but not available in the local population.

In other words: You are not allowed to takea job that locals could do - AND you need to bring something that Singapore benefits from.

What is it in your case?
