Visiting Manila for a couple of days

Matt10

Hi everyone,
I'm in Manila for few days later this month and was hoping to get advice on hot spots, must do/see, and good eating places.  Also, appreciate a sense for things to avoid. I'll be staying in Makati the entire time. I got some travel info but I figured best to get advise from the good people who live there. Thanks a bunch.

Hi matt! You will stay in makati? haha super near my unit! there's many places to go to here.
ive explored it. :) beaches are awesome

Matt10

Thanks a lt, Ri.
I thought the beaches were outside the metro area.

Beaches are up north like 3 hours travel, or if in down south, 2 hours.

If you're staying in Makati, a lot of good restaurants are there in Jupiter Street. Avoid the Burgos street since this is a red light district. There are nice places to eat to along Makati Avenue.

If you want to go shopping, I suggest Glorietta Mall, Power Plant mall (rockwell-near bel air village), Landmark or Greenbelt distant to the Ayala MRT Station.

Matt,

Forget the malls. Dubai is much cheaper.

For cheap night life, Jupiter Street.
Higher End, Fort Strip, Resorts World.
Restaurants - Serendra and its High Street. Greenbelt
Beaches - Baloy Beach is ok (Past Subic).
If you are a diver, then head to Batangas.
Need to get out of Metro Manila, head to Tagaytay.
Golf, lots of good courses.
If your chasing girls, then AC or EC.

If you have extra time and a litle more money, fly to Boracay or Palawan.

Thanks, dhnincdc.

Good leads and I like how you split em. I definitely don't have time to fly out to any other place, so will just have to maximize the time in Makati and Manila. Would love to bring my clubs, but I want to take a break from that as well.

Cheers
