US Embassy in Manila

Enzyte Bob

All you Expats from the States maybe at one time or another have contacted or try to contact the Embassy in Manila.

I was reminded again today that the current administration in Washington wants to hire 87,000 IRS Agents.

I tried to check the figures on how many employees the Embassies & Consulates have world wide.

The only figure I came up with is the Department of State has 75,000 employees world wide which includes embassies.

Wouldn't it be nice if Washington could have less IRS Agents and more Embassy Employees.

@Enzyte Bob I'm all for well paid IRS staff... They need to go after those that don't pay their fair share.... Like the wealthy...

Dan you are in the states, the US Embassy is woefully understaffed in the Philippines, it took me three months to get an appointment and that was a Phone appointment.

.

You will find out for yourself if you ever make it to the Philippines and need to contact the Embassy.

The Department of state only has 75,000 employees and yet the IRS wants to hire an additional 87,000 employees.
