Hi Steve, I am Indonesian and I get tourist visa now. I got job offer already and finish all the requirement that the company needs. and not yet get my start date to work. So I Just want to know if do some expat here ever experience like this situation?

You cannot work in the Philippines with a tourist visa..They will throw you in jail.

The requirements for a Provisional Work Permit are:
Bio-data.
Photocopy of passport with valid visa.
Proof of 9(g) application.
Alien Employment Permit (AEP)
Contract of Employment.
Letter request from petitioner company.
Affidavit of Support of the petitioner company.
SEC registration of the company.

Work permits for the Philippines
Any foreign national wishing to work in the Philippines must obtain a valid work visa, called the 9(G) visa. This should be arranged before starting employment in the country. A 9(G) visa allows foreigners to enter the Philippines to engage in a lawful occupation.

While I read your reply and also pertinent replies from other members just prior, I would offer up as follows: I have worked twice now in the Philippines, 2 x 6 month stints and never ever did I see an immi office nor apply for any type of visa, this was all handled by the company I contracted to for my professional services and never a problem, relinquished my passport many times but always returned within a couple of days, lot of work visa stamps for our office etc. All accomplished by my employer. I was busy doing my job.
The company offering you employment would be wise to advise the process if they indeed intend to engage your services, is bona fide and if so you would not be asking such questions here.

Sounds somewhat fishy, Pls don't land in PH. with an unsecured work permit, taking work from locals illegally is very much frowned upon. If by chance you have professional experience in a field alien to local employment then your proffered employer will accomplish all of your requirements to secure your expertise.

Expats that generally work or run a business in PH. are married and on a 13a, SRRV or SRIV and I'm sure others will proffer alternatives. A little more info with regards to your real situation may bring better answers than mine.

Perfect, what else needs to be said, Your employer (if credible) will secure your professional services with immi etc. Working in PH. needs to be sanctioned, done correctly and secured.
