Maintaining a long distance relationship as an expat in the Philippines
"(Them with the idea got nothing, while Suckerberg lost in court against the financiere so he had to compensate him.)"
Not that this has anything to do with becoming an expat but the two brothers who claim to have come up with the idea sued and settled for $65 Million.

Great that you contributed buddy, that's what it's about. Also, the FB legal controversy is quite interesting to follow.
I liked the way you expressed your feelings, but, pull yourself back, and come back to reality.
Perhaps you've had a few drinks, missing your woman, and are longing for the touch of a woman. I get it.
I had an online relationship with a Chinese woman for 2 years on Skype. It became surreal having internet sex with her. The relationship can be really intense, even more intense than a physical relationship. It is the unfulfilled desire to touch that magnifies things.
I actually flew this girl to Australia for 6 months, and we decided to get married. The sexual energy between us was amazing. Our first years of marriage were great. She was raised conservatively, and blossomed in Australia.
Unfortunately, we divorced after 5 years, but still remain friends. Long story...

That reminds me of a scene from the movie "City Slickers". Billy Crystal asked the hero of the story, Curly, played by Jack Palance if he'd ever fallen in love.
Curly explained that one day after a long cattle drive he came over a rise and saw the most beautiful women he'd ever seen bathing in the river. After admiring her for a while, he then rode away.
Confused, Billy couldn't understand Curly's reaction.
Curly explained that if he'd gone down to meet her, got married, eventually they would have fought and she would have got fat. It would have been imperfect. But like this, the memory of this women was forever perfect in his mind.
Some women are not supposed to come off Skype.
Thanks for your insightful reply and the correlation of the movie to long distance relationships. Interestingly enough, I'm heading down to Brisbane (where my ex lives) to sell a couple of ounces of gold to fund my early April trip to the Philippines. I booked a nice apartment overlooking the city for a couple of nights. I'm seeing her for dinner (haven't seen her for 3 years). It will be nice to see her again, but I will take my third trip to the Philippine (59 days) regardless. I hope they ditch the 'chin warmers' by then...
Yes and just watch out for the gold diggers in the Philippines Daytripper. There they don't even need to get their hands dirty
I appreciate your concern. I'm a bit of a veteran of Southeast Asia, as I did business there. And yeah, you are right, those long haired, dark eyed beauties, can capture your heart. But, compared to the hard-core cellulites on offer here, I'll take my chances...
When you say `hard core cellulites` are you referring to the proverbial `Sheila's` As you Aussies say?
@Lotus Eater Hahaha. "As Aussies say" She'll be right mate. I grew up in the States until the age of 23. Am proudly an Australian citizen durinf the past 40 years I have lived here.
I have a brother in Albuquerque who I have visited. I love America, but, you guys have too many poor people and racial strife.
Plus, we have kick ass beaches, rain forests, and I love to 4 X4. Go figure... Three hundred and 330 million people vs 25 million in the same sized countries.
In the Philippines its high status to be fat, but they got shocked when I told them in USA its the POOR who are more commonly obiesed@Lotus Eater '
I visited my brother back in the States a couple of times, and was shocked at the size of people. Fast food, and processed sugary, high-carb food is taking its toll.@Daytripper
@Daytripper The cigarette companies, fast food and soft drinks corporations don't have to worry about regulations here. Most people reach for Sprite or Coke when having get togethers. People don't get body shamed here if they are overweight. To the contrary, it's almost a status symbol. Being heavy usually mean you are well off or have a good paying job. Status means so much here (that's why so many have top of the line iPhones and drive SUVs worth more than their house). Most of the celebrities here are a bit on the pudgy side which doesn't help mattesr. It saddens me to watch the influence of first world marketing.
True. Which is why the best lookers are usually from a poorer background and don’t plaster their faces with war paint.
That’s what I like about Filipinas - the au naturelle look.
It doesn’t help that Filipinas are the shortest of all Asian women so when they do go heavy on the carbs they pile on the cellulite ( If I may commandeer that word from Daytripper )
Yes when fry they let everything swim in oil instead of just litle in pan to not get burned. A friend of mine is chef and moved to Phils many years ago. He tried to teach Filipinos but gave up@coach53 The Philippines has the worst food in Southeast Asia, due largely to the American influence. Farmed seafood, a large portion of the Filipino diet, is full of by-products. But, the worst, is the cheap sludge, called cooking oil.

BUT some locals copied his exersising so rather many exerrsise there nowadays (village at Bataan)!!!
Not odd. Suit to what I am saying. Do you believe it isnt the exceptions, who manage to get abroad...?!@coach53 You are so full of bull dust. I live in Brisbane Australia, and there are many talented Filipinos I meet every day, at the supermarket, the apartment that I own, the hospital I take my parents to, the Filipinas married to ... - @Daytripper
I havent got that oppinion from myself, I have got it from e g
The American, who recomended me the Tribe Filipinos, have hired Filipinos before that and he said its a huge difference with advantage to the tribe...
The tribe work team leader said though two of the 30 workers are some lazy prefering to earn less and rest more
Many - even Filipinos - say big part of malay Filipinos are lazy. How do you explain otherwice its rather common family stop working and wait for the support to arrive, when they "winn at lottery" =Family member become OFW or marry a foreigner who are stupid enough to support lazy people? (I dont mind supporting people, who do their best. Thats a reason I started the business there.)
Even an ex gf Filipina said herself all except a few in her huge family are very lazy of them remaining living at the leased farm. They count to handle only a HALF hectare being a full time work year around for THREE grown up men!!! Inspite of river is less than 200 meters from the field, they prefer to be some short of food instead of move water during the dry periood to get a third crop...!

Why do you continue answering me then?@coach53 Mate, I would like to enjoy this forum without continually replying to your messages. Could you back-off? I am not interested in what you are saying.

You NOT living in the Philipppines claim there arent to many lazy Filipinos, inspite of many living there tell many examples of lazyness... I have NEVER heared anyone living there saying it isnt common - except SOME Filipinos, who lie and deny even when its proven they lie!!!
(Beside of its common rich Manila Filipinos know very litle about proivinces, that was the only I learned about rich Manila Filipinos, when I joined a Filipino business forum to learn about Filipino business culture...)
Some foreigners have said THEIR family-in-law arent lazy. Why would they say that if it wouldnt be common with lazyness...?
In a poor country as the Philippines there are a lot of land NOT IN USE!!! while in Sweden there are almost no such, inspite of in the Philippines things grow 3-4 times faster than in Sweden... How to interprete that?
Edit: I censored one of my words

(As long as a person dont improve significant. If someone do that, then I can give that person a new chance as I e g did with one who took back his insinuations as e g my excisting business in the Philippines was imaginary!!! But after a period of civiliced communication, he went back to write some similar crap again...
and claim their very much important subjects false claims are true. E g I even had a very stupid close friend, who others wondered how I could stand , but I have no problem with stupid people as long as they do their best.
