Hmm, your comments view is very narrow and points mostly to those foreigners who visit bars and have relationships with those they found there, and yes, of course they were scammed.


But there are many many more here who have relationships and marriages that did not start in a bar and where economics or income have absolutely nothing to do with the their relationship or even with the native family. I have found that If your willing to rub shoulders with the average Filipino and have a meal or drink with him it doesn’t matter how much or how little you have in your bank account...

A big loss to this Forum for sure. In her memory (if that's not being too sentimental ) I would encourage all Expat.com members to go back to the beginning of this thread and read it again. Probably one of the most informative and illuminating topics ever discussed with eloquent contributions from all concerned.
