Need help and guidance please

spellraj

I just joined the forum and would really appreciate help. First let me introduce myself. I am a from India living in america planning to move to Malaysia with my family. We are thinking of moving to Kuala Lumpur.

Before we move further, we had a few questions for which we would like help and suggestions:
1. I know that there are many options for expats, but in my case (doctor practicing in america) - is MM2H the best option?
2. I was planning to continue to work in america for atleast couple more years while my wife and son move to malaysia. In MM2H- can I do that? Even though the visa is in my name, can I still stay in America while my spouse (indian citizen) and son (american citizen)  move to Malaysia?
3. If I continue to work in america and show pay checks for that, do I need to make a preliminary deposit in malaysian bank or dont have to?
4. MM2H paperwork- Is the paperwork for applying simple enough that I can do it myself or do I need to get an agent?
We would really appreciate any guidance in this regard.

     Thanks

Hi to be honest sounds crazy plan
Why not have wife and kid in usa? Many of the wild out of control children i deal with have absent fathers due to arrangements like yours. I have an Indian neigbour like that. The young boy is so wild screams and runs around out of control. No respect for anyone. A father is important to have around. The kid will not get a good education will become a wild teenager and most likely end up a listless adult and unsuccessful. Prob end up on drugs! This affects well off parents the worst as they compensate with spoiling kids whereas poor families sometimes fair better in that scenerio. There is no such thing as a bad kid. Only bad parenting. Kids need both parents.

Whats more important your child or career???

I was brought up kids first kids second career third! Best way. Just a thought for you!

Hi Nemodot. Thanks for your wise advice. The issue in my case is a little different due to my family situation. I and my wife, we both would like to move closer to India as the distance between us and the rest of family is too much. We do not want to go back to India itself and hence we chose Malaysia as the best option for my son with autism as his stars better align in Malaysia than India. Also I am only planning to stay away from family for couple of years to see if my wife and son like malysia or not. If they do not like malaysia or it does not work out then we might at that point decide between India and USA. If I move with them now to Malaysia and give up my practice in USA then I lose my work visa and have to start all over again down the line. If Malaysia works good for us, then by Gods grace I have enough savings to retire and move permanently to Malaysia.
