Hi ,

Am actually writting to find out if i have a EP which is valid till March 2022 but am not in the country right now, does the employer have the right to cancel my EP and also remove me from the local payroll? Is it a must for the company to cancel the EP? This is my biggest concern. And if yes why so ?
Can someone give me some clarity here?

Hi best to check with the company why do they seek to cancel the EP. From the perspective of Immigraction department, the company can cancel EP even though you are overseas and the passport is with you and thus no longer need to pay salary once EP is cancelled. There is an option of ‘EP cancellation without passport option’. It is best to talk to the employer why do they seek to cancel ya.
