Visa information wanted

CN7799

Hi all

We are Australian citizens and like to live in Malaysia permanently but apply for MM2H visa is expensive or involves jumping around the hoop.

I heard from other expats there is a way around to get a long term visa without applying for MM2H or retirement visa.  Can someone shed information on this?

I haven't heard about those loopholes with the exception of visa runs which have become very difficult in recent years. Can you give some information on what you have heard from other expats? What have those other expats told you about how they did it?

To my knowledge there are no long term visas except student, employment or marriage, the same as most countries.

There is however a persistent rumor or thinking or hope or belief that the world is a free place to travel around and long term visas are there for the asking. In Malaysia's case anyway, if this was ever true its been 50 years since that. Please dont listen to postings around the net, including mine, go read at the Immigration website for the official lists of available visas and also follow the Immigration facebook page with latest info, including the new 23-country blacklist due to Covid under which there are no visas of any kind.
