Hi, Jenn!

It was great finding your plea for help!  Now it is my turn!

I am hopeful that the e-mail is current; I am going to be traveling for an
extended period of time to Jinan and needed the input of an expatriate on
how to best plan and negotiate such a trip.  I will be coming as a visiting
Professor at QILU UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY (formally Shandong University of
Light Industry).  Could you send me information on the following:

1. Work Visas for the University
2. Room & Board - how to best navigate (as cheaply and safely as possible)
these two necessities.
3. Medical/Dental insurance/care - is there a clinic/hospital I
should/shouldn't attend?
4. Air and water quality - do I need to wear a dust mask?  Do I need to
import water?
5. The beds over there are VERY hard.  Do I need to bring an egg crate?
6. Would you recommend exercising outdoors or indoors?
7. Are there churches that speak English?
8. Tax structure on payments I receive
9. Cost of food and clothes - are there places I should go to to buy stuff?

If you know of anything else I should be aware of, I would be in your debt

Hi Jenn, I hope you're still in Jinan! Funny, my boyfriend just moved to Jinan two months ago and I will be in the next couple weeks. Have you guys settled in well? We'll be looking for new friends and people to hang with!
