Driving license in Togo

Armand

Hi all,

Can a foreigner take the driving test in Togo?

What are the formalities to get a driver’s licence in Togo?

Do you need special or extra documents being an expatriate?

How much does it cost?

Thank you for participating ;).

Hi all,

I am presently taking the driving test in Togo.

The exam itself costs 45€. Add to this twelve lessons (+75€) and 75€ again to "push" your application (this is mere corruption, you decide whether to pay or not, but honestly you should).

For a total cost of 195€, you are 100% sure to have your driving license.

There is no special document to provide. (Blood group card, passport, certificate of vision... you can do all of this on the spot, it's very cheap).

There is no minimum time of residence in Togo to take the test. I've been here for two weeks and i'm having the test in one month.

The test is pretty easy.

I hope this was useful !

PS : keep in mind that to convert your license into a French driving license, you need to have lived in Togo for at least 6 month.
