My name is Kevin. I have just moved From South Africa TO England. I lived in South Africa my whole life and it really is a beautiful country. Unfortunately, I can't sugar-coat the situation in South Africa right now - it is bad, very bad by most people's standards. The sad thing is the disintegration of basic services and infrastructure.
HOWEVER,
if you can get into a decent residential area and ensure you have your OWN purified water supply and your OWN electricity (diesel generator), you will be fine. What I have learned through my experience of emigrating is that everybody's situation is different. Only YOU can know what is best for your particular family unit. Go with your gut and then just MAKE it work. Don't listen to the naysayers. It's an adventure.
Best of luck.
Kevin
I have never felt so relaxed and no shame all of my life time until the month I spent in South Africa, Johannesburg, Birchleigh! After my experience of spending so much time in nature and with animals it was like a dream!
I Love the people and stayed with a white Afrikaner whom treated me like a Queen! What a dear friend he has been.
I
Have lived & grown up in Orange County. CA & I can't stand it here nor our Country! We are not free as people seem to think, not at all!
There is good & bad or however you perceive things to be! When I landed my shoulders dropped, similar to landing in Kauai!!! Trip & nature there amazed me very much. Also when I went to the ZIOO I loved how organize meed. Keeping the Country Green a Clean is more advanced in shorter time than the US!!!
People seem to appreciate just a smile. In OC if you smile people look at you like , "What do you want"? Really!!! So materialistic, everyone is in a hurry to nowhere? Hurry up home so we can sleep & ger up, rush? Hurry, oh my must get this like our neighbor & up it so we look like we got it all together!!!
No thanks , been there done that! I am ready to decompress & live & breath with the positive aura of sunshine & smiles!
Yes that's right albeit not sure how I can make a living there? Maybe there is a handsome white Afrikaner that would like to marry a cutie pie as me. Hahaha
Blessings to you,
Kelle Marie
