Applying for Mauritian ID card via third party/proxy - need help!

Hello,

I was born in the UK from my parents (who were born in the Mauritius). Through birth and via descent, I have managed to obtain both UK and Mauritian passports. However, I realised that I should have applied for the ID card too!

Please can you let me know if its possible to apply for the ID card via a third party/proxy. My father is currently in Mauritius and is willing to apply on my behalf. I believe I have to send both my Mauritian passport and UK Birth certificate (long version). What else do I need to allow someone to apply for ID card on my behalf?

Hello,

I don't think this is possible as you will have to get your picture taken and your signature will be required.
Not sure if things have changed but I couldn't find any information relative to this.
