police certificate which is for requests for immigration purposes?

Hi there
I have been to my local constabulary and they have given me a form but I'm not sure if I need a 'police certificate' which is for 'requests for immigration purposes' or just the normal disclosure stating that  I have no criminal offences which is the one saying 'this is not for employment purposes'...also the fee is £10..does that sound about right?
Thanks

Hi meland mike....

It's called a CRB check which we got before leaving the UK,  and it was about £10 ( if I remember correctly) and more ( about £30) if you wanted it express delivery!

Eventually though when we applied, it wasn't even looked at. But I suppose it depends on route you take ( married to a Mauritian vs expats).

Hope that helps. PM me if you want more info.

Hi melandmike,

A new topic was created from your post on the Mauritius forum for better visibility, this might be helpful. :)

Thank you,

David.
Hi Mel and Mike,

It is the one marked "not for employment purposes" that you need.  A neighbour of mine in Ireland was a Detective and he got ours so I did n't have to pay.  It is only valid for three months from the issue date.  Good luck.

Steph.

Additionally, may I please enquire as to what you did for the medical certificate?
when we got here we went to an approved clinic and they did everything for us. dead easy!
